325 member-years of service to Albuquerque and
Civitan!!

ABC Civitans start the day off right with a good
breakfast and lots of fun. But we are more than just
fun--we take Civitan seriously with a lot of good
projects, some of which are---
Helping Friends in Time, an organization devoted to
serving people with ALS and other developmental
disadvantages.
Sponsors of Boy Scout Troop 436, a troop for
disabled youth
Adopt a Highway
Wheelchair ramps
Christmas Baskets for the needy
Yearly ARCA Picnic (We served 500 hamburgers at
the 2006 bash.)

We meet every Tuesday morning from 6:30 to 7:30
so you're never late to work. Come to Joe's Grill,
on the east side of Juan Tabo south of Candelaria.
Come visit us and the club will buy your breakfast!

| Civitan International is an international service organization dedicated to good citizenship through service, knowledge, and fellowship, Civitan was started in Birmingham, Alabama, by Dr. Courtney Shropshire, who saw the need for participation by citizens in the improvement of their community, Today, Civitan has almost 40,000 members in over 1000 clubs, and is spread around most of the states of the US, as well as Canada, Europe, and Asia. Civitan was the first major Service Organization to include both men and women as members. Civitan has as a special emphasis working directly with the mentally and physically handicapped, as will as with organizations that provide primary services for them. Internationally, Civitan is the principal sponsor for the International Summer Special Olympics, and works with Special Olympics at all levels. |
