Civitan Accelerated

Civitan Accelerated is committed to developing leadership for the betterment of our community and world through service, knowledge and fellowship.

Civitan Accelerated, southern Nevada's sixth Civitan club and only evening club, chartered on January 19, 2006 with 32 charter members!

Civitan, a worldwide community service organization, was founded in 1917 by a small group of businessmen who began meeting weekly to discuss how they could improve their community.  Civitan International was established three years later.

Today, there are approximately 55,000 men, women, and young people in nearly 1,800 Civitan, Campus Civitan, and Junior Civitan clubs worldwide.

Since the 1930s, Civitan International's major focus has been toward helping people with developmental disabilities; however, local clubs are involved in a variety of community service projects, based on the needs of their communities.

The Civitan International Research Center is a result of a $20 million commitment by the Civitan International Foundation.  The Center conducts research into the causes of developmental disabilities and provides clinical services and programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Civitan Accelerated meets on the third Thursday monthly at Round Table Pizza           8880 S. Eastern Ave. (NE corner of Pebble) 6:30pm Social / 7pm to 8pm Meeting
