Civitans,
This is a historic day for the Alabama-West Florida District. We chartered two new clubs today! We completed the "March on Troy" at noon today with the chartering of the Troy Civitan Club with 40 members. And we completed the painting of Georgiana, Alabama Civitan "Gold and Blue" today at 6 PM with the chartering of the Georgiana ACTION Civitan Club with 35 members.
A special thank you to the Camellia City Civitan Club for sponsoring the Troy Civitan Club and to the Club Builders: Gene Autrey (Camellia City), Terry Gafford (Camellia City), Jimmy Russell (Camellia City), and Doreen Thomas (Enterprise).
A special thank you to the Enterprise Civitan Club for sponsoring the Georgiana ACTION Civitan Club and to the Club Builders: Tami Awe (Enterprise), Jacque Hawkins (Enterprise), Jimmy Russell (Camellia City), and Byron Ward (Georgiana ACTION).
I was honored to conduct the initiation of Charter Officers, and we were honored to have Louis Stephens, VP, Membership-Leadership, Civitan International conduct the initiation of Charter Members for both ceremonies.
We have about a month left in our year of leadership and we must not slow down! I want you to continue to grow your clubs and encourage your members to let their "eyes search for others to join in the fellowship and service of Civitan." We must continue to tell the Civitan story of good works and highlight to others that "Civitan is the most community service for the volunteer's time.' There's still enough time for you to identify a location and build a new club this Civitan Year! Let me know what I can do to help and I will! YOU ROCK!

Alabama West Florida...YOU ROCK!
Congratulations! I am so proud of you! Troy with 40 members and Georgiana with 35, that is 75 new members in one day, two charters in one day in the same district! Got to be a FIRST!
I can't wait to celebrate with you next month at your District Convention in Pensacola! I hope I am able meet sone of the new charter members of all of your new clubs at that convention!
