REGISTRATION will begin on Friday, September 24th, from 4-6 pm in the Lobby of the Crowne Plaza (to the right as you enter the front door). Registration will again be open from 8-9 am on Saturday, September 25th.
FRIDAY AFTERNOON, 4-6 pm. DISTRICT BOARD MEETING for District Officers and Directors – Crowne Plaza Board Room located on the 2nd floor.
FRIDAY EVENING DINNER AND OPENING CEREMONY: Will begin at 7:00 pm at the Civic Center, 2nd floor. Dress is casual. The presentation of District Honor Key will take place this evening. Silent Auction Room will be on the 2nd floor and opens at 6 pm – and will re-open after our dinner meeting.
PAST GOVERNOR’S BREAKFAST – Saturday morning, 7:30 am. Enjoy breakfast in the “1912” Restaurant of the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1st floor (seating at back tables).
SATURDAY MORNING – 9 am – Civic Center, 1st floor – Opening business session with introduction of past Alabama-West Florida District Governors. Session continues with comments by Governor Jim Smith and our Region One Director – and reports by District Chairpersons, followed by the candlelight Memorial Service. There will be an election of officers for the coming year: Governor-Elect, District Director Area One, and Past Governor Director. The Pensacola Civitan Club is handling the Auction that continues until 4 pm today.
SATURDAY LUNCH – Noon - Civic Center, 2nd floor – Dress is casual. During lunch, Governor Smith will recognize his team members and present four District Awards and recognize the Alabama-West Florida Club of the Year. FREE TIME: 2:00 – 6:00 pm.
SATURDAY EVENING – 6:30 pm - Civic Center, 2nd floor – Dress is Sunday best! Enjoy a time of Civitan fellowship and a Cash Bar will be available from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
7:00 pm Dinner – Silent Auction winners will be announced (all proceeds go to the general fund of the District), followed by the announcement of the John Simpson Scholarship ticket sales winner! Then, the installation of District Officers, Chairpersons, and the 2010-2011 Club Presidents. James Jones will be installed as our 2010-2011 District Governor! He will give his Governor’s Challenge and then adjourn this year’s Convention.
