The Andrew P. Stewart Center is located in metro Atlanta and it serves individuals of all ages. This center houses school age and senior citizens who are in need of individuals who care. Services needed are after school tutorial, mentoring, beautification projects and senior citizens activities. Our chapter has decided to take on this project to ensure that this community is receiving benefits that would assist them in making a better tomorrow. Candy Box
The Candy Box Project is an ongoing project adopted by National and their ongoing efforts to decrease and eventually stop developmental disabilities throughout the world. Civitan's Candy Box project is the most important source of funds for the Foundation. Because Civitan volunteers place and maintain the boxes, all resulting income, above the direct costs of materials, actually goes to charitable activities. Our Chapter has adopted this project to assist in its great effort to find the cure developmental disabilities across the world. |

Jr. Eagles, Leadership S.O.A.R Program |

Leadership S.O.A.R. was designed to build strong leadership skills and self esteem in youths. There focuses is to give these youth life skills that would last them a life time. The leadership S.O.A.R. program is offered to the third, fourth and fifth grade students at Toomer Elementary. This program is offered every Thursday for 3:00 - 6:00p.m. on the Fred A. Toomer Campus. Our chapter has decided to partner with the GivingBack Foundation, Inc. and assist with building leadership skills and self esteem in the youth that this program services. Many of our members have agreed to come out and volunteer with the training classes. The curriculum for this program includes one hour each of parliamentary procedure, character and ethics and a community service project. |
