The Aurora Civitan Club was Chartered November 24, 1958.  We are Club #1192 and are part of the Great Southwest District #19

Our Motto:

"Civitan Rocks our World"

We are one of many world wide clubs and service organizations open to all men and women of good character.

We participate in a variety of programs in our community and others.  Club meetings are educational and fun with guest speakers such as; community and busniess leaders, media representatives,  politicians and educators addressing a variety of topics of interest to club members.

Club meetings are also an opportunity for members to develope friendships and establish business contacts.

OUR MISSION

"To build good citizenship by providing a volunteer organization of clubs dedicated to serving individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities."

Our Founding Principles

Civitan International promotes three principle goals: fellowship with each other, knowledge of one’s community, and service to humanity. With these principles in balance, current members and new members can perform outstanding works while sharing experiences and developing relationships that enhance their lives.

OUR CREED

I AM CIVITAN as old as life, as young as the rainbow.

MY HANDS do the work of the world and reach out in service to others.

MY EARS hear the cry of children and the call throughout the world for peace, guidance, progress and unity.

MY EYES search for others to join in fellowship and service of Civitan.

MY MOUTH utters the call to daily duty and speaks prayers in every tongue

MY MIND teaches me respect for law and the flag of my country.

MY HEART beats for ebvery friend, bleeds for every injury to humanity and throbs with joy at every triumph of truth.

MY SOUL knows no fear but its own unworthiness

MY HOPE is for a better world through Civitan

MY MOTTO Builders of Good Citizenship

MY BELIEF do unto others as you would have them do unto you

MY PLEDGE to practice the "Golden Rule" and to build upon it a better and nobler citizenship
