Aurora Civitan has teamed up with Blind Outdoor Adventures, to assist with many activities involving the area's Blind Community.  There are many activities from assisting them on a walk, Hikes, Mountain Climbing and Horseback Riding, as well as, helping them to prepare for these adventures with fundraising, equpment preparation and packing.  We have not defined the entire scope of our volunteer needs at this point but I am sure there will be plenty for all of us to participate in.

 This is a new partnership, which we hope will be lasting and beneficial to both organizations.  I am sure it will be a learning experience for both of us and I am excited to be invoved with and looking forward to getting out there and helping with the blind community.  The blind community is rarely heard of and has a lot of the the same basic needs as the other organizations which we serve.  It will be an exciting adventure in its own assisting them in their volunteer and fundraising needs. Be sure to check back and see how the Partnership continues to broaden and listen for fundraising and volunteer opportunities.   We Thank Ron MIller and Loretta Huffine, from the CIty of Aurora, for making us aware of this need in our community we are proud to support.
