The Bartlesville Uptown Civitan Club is a service organization comprised of men and working together to provide volunteer service to the local communities, to be better informed on the communities current affairs and opportunities through the process of attending interesting and informative programs and to make new friends in a setting outside the office, church, neighborhood or home.
The Bartlesville Uptown Civitan Club was founded in 1975. The club is a part of the Civitan International Organization, an all volunteer organization of men and women in twenty seven nations, working together to help those less fortunate than themselves. The club is a member of the Heartland District.
Locally the Bartlesville Civitans was the initial sponsor for the Washington-Nowata County Nutrition Project. The project is now a part of OCS-Older Citizen Services. OCS is a Federal and State funded meals and services program for citizens 60 and older. The program provides over 80,000 meals at 3 congregate sites and 24,000 home delivered meals annually in Oklahoma in Washington, Nowata and Osage counties
Other Local club projects include being the original sponsor for the Senior Housing Apartments at Leisure Lane. This is a HUD project. There are 41 units that are leased to seniors who qualify. The club also provides monetary and physical assistance to citizens that have developmental disabilities.

| • | Celebrated our 25th Birthday. | | • | Supported the Washington/Nowata County Nutrition Project by delivering meals, organizing volunteers, donating funds, and supporting fund raisers. | | • | Opened New Nutrition site at the Civitan Senior Housing site on the East side of Bartlesville. | | • | Increased placement of Civitan Candy Boxes. | | • | Generated matching funds in excess of $115,000 to build a Community Accessible Park. | | • | Continued support of the Civitan Senior Housing Project, looking forward to developing another Senior Housing Project. | | • | Members recognized by Civitan International for their contributions to local, district and International Civitan organization. | | • | Accomplished many service projects for the Community, (see Service Section for more details). |
