St. Bethlehem Civitan Club
Clarksville, Tennessee

St. Bethlehem Civitan Club was organized on December 1, 1953 and has been an active club highly involved with the local community since that time. St. Bethlehem is located in the northeast section of Clarksville, Tennessee. The St. Bethlehem Club has been recognized by Civitan International on numerous occasions for its contributions to the overall mission of Civitan International.

Helping those in the community who are in need, especially those who have mental or physical handicaps or developmental disabilities is a top priority for the St. Bethlehem Civitan Club. Members of the club frequently meet these needs by providing handicap and wheelchair ramps, preparing meals and food baskets, disaster relief and through the support of Special Olympics.

The club oversees the St. Bethlehem Civitan Park, a 50-acre park that is home of St. Bethlehem Little League, recognized as one of the top Little League organizations in the state. The park also contains the Marvin Smith Pavilion, a 1200 square foot pavilion named after a long-time member of the club. This pavilion provides a place where families can picnic and enjoy time together. Future plans include more pavilions and walking trails.

During the year 2003-3004 the Club celebrated its Golden Anniversary along with the Valley District.
