Camp Big Heart, in existence since 1984, is a unique boarding summer camp which offers a broad range of recreational activities designed specifically for children and adults who are midly to moderately mentally challenged (who may also have physical challenges) and who are ambulatory. It is recognized as one of the truly outstanding camps of its type in the country and serves the entire state of Georgia.

Camp Big Heart  is not just a camp for mentally challenged children and adults, but a respite for parents and caregivers who have a 24 hour a day, 365 day a year job taking care of someone who requires full attention.  Camp Big Heart not only benefits the camper, but the families as well.

Camp Big Heart is located at the Will-A-Way camping facility located within Ft. Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia.  The camp facility was designed to meet the needs of special populations throughout the state.
