Capital City Civitan Club

Welcome to the Capital City Civitan Club Website!

Capital City Civitan is a community service organization for men and women in Raleigh, North Carolina. The club was founded in August 1957 and is part of Area 5 in North Carolina District East, Region III of Civitan International.

The Civitan motto is "Builders of Good Citizenship" and the purpose of Civitan is to provide members opportunities for personal development while improving the world through community service, as outlined in the Creed.

Civitans support the UAB Civitan International Research Center that focuses on research and treatment of mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.

Capital City Civitan also has a number of service projects that it supports: Happy Time Bowling, Boys & Girls Home, Meals on Wheels, Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics, and so on.

This variety of projects means that every member, retired or working, can participate.  To read the details of each project and see pictures of our members in action, go to the Service Projects webpages.

The Capital City Civitan Club meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Red, Hot & Blue in the Falls Village Shopping Center (Falls of the Neuse and Sandy Forks).  The Club Meetings area of this site contains information about the agenda and upcoming speakers.  All are welcome!
