June is just around the corner when it will be time for the Junior Civitans to head on down to Jacksonville, Florida for the Junior Civitan International Convention June 24 through 27.  There are about 20 delegates that want to partake in this great event where they will receive leadership training, get to interact with Junior Civitans from all over North America, receive awards for their hard work and have a great time in the fun and sun of Florida.  They are especially excited because our outgoing Governor, Mark Jarrett, will be the first Cardinal District Junior Civitan running for International Director.

The cost this year is high due to the distance and each delegate will need about $500 between registration and transportation costs.  The Juniors have been holding their own fund-raisers to help raise the money they each need.

Special thanks go out to the Charleston Civitan Club who very generously showed their support of Junior Civitans through their $1000 donation!   All donations through our S.A.D. (Support A Delegate) program are very much appreciated.  If any club or individual would like to make a donation all you need to do is send it to Jeanne Jarrett, 104 Woodshire Place, Charleston, WV 25314, checks should be made payable to Cardinal District Junior Civitans.  Thanks to all who show these young people that Civitans do care about them!
