Our club participates in several fundraising projects throughout the year, proceeds from which go towards the various organizations and agencies which we sponsor.
Each June and September our club can be found in Spencer Smith Park cooking up a storm at the Annual Craft Fair and Art Market. Our hotdogs, sausage and back bacon are famous throughout the region as is our “travelling” kitchen.
September 7th 2002 marks the second anniversary of our “Reverse Raffle” held at the Senior Citizen Centre. The event was an outstanding success last year and this year promises to be even better.
December will find our members selling Claxton Christmas Cake at the Burlington Mall. Claxton cake from Georgia has a long tradition with the Civitan organization and is the major fundraiser.
Our Club also raises funds through community BINGO and we are proud to be a part of the “Lay It On the Line” event held each year in support of the Ontario Special Olympics.
