The Cullman Civitan began November 27, 1954 with 27 charter members.  There are two of those original members still living.  Over the years we have had several presidents of our group including 3 presidents in one family, Buford, Joe and Steve Lowery. 

We have participated in many activities in order to raise money for CCCDD, Special Olympics, Searcy Arkansas trip for seniors , the park at the Margaret Jean Jones Center, and etc.  Some of the activites we have participated in to raise funds have been a Circus, worked a horse show, girlie show, talent show, Claxton Fruit Cakes, candy boxes, Valdalia Onions and Bluegrass Festival, annual Pancake Breakfast.
