While the Dyersburg Civitan Club keeps busy with our core community service projects we still find the time to help out other community service organizations too.

Civitans participate in the annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection event held in October where we direct incoming vehicles to the correct spot and take participant surveys required by the state.

Civitans "Ring the Bell" for the Salvation Army as part of their Christmas fundraising effort. We also donate food supplies that are left over from the fairbooth.

Civitans participate in building the annual Dream Factory of Dyersburg Christmas float. Donating funds, time and talent to build the float that the Dream Factory kids look forward to each year.

Civitans were the driving force behind the installation of an irrigation system to sustain the Forest of Dreams Class II Arboretum at the Dyersburg Middle School. The Forest of Dreams was set up by the Dream Factory Dyersburg as a memorial to children who they have worked with and have passed on. Civitans, realizing that the on going viabilty of the forest required an irrigation system, mounted an effort to raise the funds and coordinate it's installation. With help from several Civitan volunteers,Mr. Dick Breedlove and the Dyersburg City Gas Department got the project completed.
