Every month the Dyersburg Civitan Club hosts a birthday party at Dyersburg Developmental Skills for individuals with disabilities whose birthdays fall within the month. Funds for the parties come from our fund raising activities as well as any grant requests the club is able to secure.

All the clients at Developmental Skills are invited to attend with the group normally about 35 people. They participate in setting up the tables and arranging drink service and then the party gets underway. Participants receive cookies and drinks and the birthday boys and girls receive a gift which is opened during the event.

The individuals at Developmental Skills really look forward to the monthly event and develop close bonds with the Civitans who volunteer for this labor of love.
