Vidalia onions are the pioneer sweet onion, grown exclusively in a 20 county region in South Georgia. Their mild, sweet taste makes Vidalias more versatile than other, stronger tasting onions.

Less than 100 growers plant Vidalias which are harvested only from late April through Labor Day each year.

The Dyersburg Civitan Club sells 10 lb bags of Vidalia Onions as one of our fund raising projects.

Tickets for bags of onions are pre-sold to waiting area customers. Then we pick up the onions when they're ready bring em to town and deliver them to happy Vidalia onion lovers.

Lloyd Collier and Dan Felkner spearhead this successful project and we're looking forward to providing Vidalias to our friends and neighbors.
