INTERESTED IN MAKING EDGEWOOD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE AND WORK???  COME JOIN US AND SEE WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT!!!

Civitan is an International Organization that  was founded in 1917 and is currently in 31 countries around the world.  Edgewood is the 25th club chartered in the Great Soutwest District which includes Colorado, New Mexico and El Paso.  Each club selects their own projects and activities.  We will be working with the Edgewood Chamber of Commerce, Parks and Recreation, Bethel Storehouse, the highway department for highway cleanup, trail work for the Foresty Service, the Edgewood and Moriarity schools, Wounded Warriors  and many other organizations.  If you are a non-profit organization and have a project for us to help you with contact Joell at 286-7944.

SPONSORING A VETERAN WITH PTSD

The Edgewood Civitan Club sponsored an East Mountain Veteran and his dog to be trained through Paws and Stripes Inc.  The veterans must have PTSD or TBI. They either have their won dog or they are matched with one from the Animal Humane Society.  The cost of the training for vet and dog together in a 6 month course is $2,000.  The club raised the money for sponsorship through club funds, donations and a hugh fundraiser "Tapas, Live Music and a Dog" at the Greenside Cafe in Cedar Crest.

Edgewood Civitan Club is one year old! This club was chartered on February 7, 2009.  Over the past year we have helped those in need in our community.
