Every year Civitan clubs worldwide, hold what is called a SEEK night. This Civitan awareness event is normally held twice a year. The purpose of a SEEK night is to provide an opportunity to showcase our club for people in our community to learn what Civitan is all about. On Thursday January 10, 2008, Frederick Challenger Civitan Club will hold our first ever "OPEN HOUSE".We will have on display the projects that our club does, the fun times we have, what we learn thru Civitan, and what it means to be a Civitan.
We are asking each member to invite three guests to our OPEN HOUSE. Every guests that attends will receive a gift from our club. Volunteerism is at an all time high in this country. People want to help give back to those who are less fortunate, and Civitan provides an excellent avenue to accomplish this. New membership and growth are essential to the success of any organization. What bigger and better projects we will be able to accomplish by increasing our membership!!
People all around us are looking for new opportunities and Frederick Challenger Civitan Club offers many.All of us come in contact with so many people on a daily basis, friends, relatives,neighbors,coworkers,clergy,business owners,places we do business, just to name a few. The list is endless. THE NUMBER ONE REASON PEOPLE JOIN CIVITAN: THEY ARE ASKED TO JOIN.
This is also an excellent opportunity for any member who has not had a chance to attend a meeting to reacquaint themselves with Civitan and see what our club has been doing.
With the Holidays upon us, what a great time to share Civitan with the people we care most about. Civitan is about people who care and want to make a difference. Let's spread the word of Civitan.
