Save a life -- become a bone marrow donor

In December 2001, the club partnered with the American Red Cross and the Hendrick Marrow Foundation to sponsor a holiday blood drive and bone marrow donation registration drive. The event saw over 230 units of blood donated and over 200 people added to the international bone marrow registry.

Bone marrow transplants are often the only chance that someone with leukemia or lymphoma can have for survival. At the time of the drive, there were four Rowan County citizens who were needing marrow transplants.
