The Hartselle Civitan Club was chartered on June 20, 1955 as a service organization for the City of Hartselle and the surrounding areas in Morgan County by Civitan International.
 
 
The club members meet on the first and third Mondays of each month at the Pleasant Place, Sparkman Drive, Hartselle, Alabama at 6:00 P.M. to share fellowship, a meal on the third Monday, and their ideas on community involvement.
 
 
By holding various fund raising events, the club members provide services and help within the community, which members feel help improve the quality of life for residents ot the area.
 
 
The Hartselle Civitan Club is involved in or provides:
 
 
Hartselle High School Scholarship(s), Hartselle High and Junior High School Essay Contest and Award, HHS Student of the Year Awards, Sending Student(s) to Leadership Training at Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas, Providing American Flags for Hartselle's "Avenue of Flags" display on Highway 31, Building Project Funds to purchase a Platform Wheel Chair Swing for Sparkman Park, Candy Box Sales to raise money for the Mentally Handicapped in our area and for the Research Center in Birmingham, and Annual Fruit Cake Sales at Christmas and Vidalia Onion Drive in the Spring. 
 
Every member, new or old, is encouraged to bring their ideas to the meetings to share and discuss. New members are also encouraged to get involved with committees and in as many projects as their schedules permit.
