OUR FRUIT CAKE AND PECAN SALES WERE A GREAT SUCCESS!
Just as in years past, you purchased Claxton Fruit Cakes from our local stores and orderd pecans from our members for Thanksgiving and Christmas helping us increase our Project Fund so that we can give to others in need; and remember, every penny above product costs, goes straight to local agencies. We have no overhead, no operation costs.
Every year, we join in the decades old tradition of providing Fresh Sesaonal Fruit Cakes for sale to the public. To make it easier to receive your Claxton Fruit Cakes, Civitan entered into agreements with area grocers to provide the cakes in the stores. No Shipping - No Handling - No Catalog ordering - No credit card worry. You are able to simply pick up your cake while shopping for your family at your local Winn Dixie, Publix, Calhoun Foods, Oak Tree Market, and others. Civitan receives a portion of each sale and that money stays in the local community as well as helps with research at the Civitan Research Center at UAB Hospital. All local money goes directly into our Project Fund and does not go to the club.
CIVITAN PECANS!
Our One Pound Bags of Pecan Halves sold for only $9.50 and other pecan gifts were available as well. These are freshly harvested, cracked, and no hulls. You really responded last year and helped us help others less fortunate. The pecans we have each year are fresh from local pecan orchards.
BISCUIT BASEBALL GAMES ARE JUST AROUND THE CORNER! WE WILL BEGIN ANOTHER SEASON AS THE PARKING ATTENDANTS FOR THE SOUTHERN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!! THANKS TO ALL WHO COME OUT TO ENJOY THE GAMES!!!
When you pull into the paid parking areas, you'll see our members hard at work, taking up parking fees. You'll not only know you have a great place to park, but you'll also become a huge help in making Montgomery a better community through the efforts of Montgomery Civitan. The parking fee is split between the City and the Civitan Club and all of our funds go directly into our Fund Raiser Account which is divided between local charitable agencies.

MONTGOMERY CIVITAN'S 8th ANNUAL MAX MOSELEY CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD IN MAY 2007 AT LAGOON PARK!!!
Last year 96 golfers enjoyed an afternoon of 18 holes, along with free carts, beverages/snacks, and door prizes. Next year will be just as great and we will have additional tickets available for Mulligans & Throw and Contests for Longest Drive, Closest to Pin, & a Hole in One. It will be a 4-person team scramble event with a 1PM Shotgun start. A free Bar-B-Q dinner and reception for the players will follow the tournament.
Last year no one won the Hole in One prize, a Rolex Watch, but everyone enjoyed the day helping children. Mark your calendars and contact us for Sign Up Sheets or to be a Sponsor! We can fax or email the brochure, drop one off in person, or mail one to your company.

Money raised at the Montgomery Civitan's 8th Annual Max Moseley Charity Golf Tournament will be donated to the Children's Center of Montgomery. They are in need of new equipment w/technology which will allow special children who are severely mentally and physically challenged to communicate and learn in the classroom.
Numerous Businesses and Individuals helped sponsor this year's event and you can be a 2006 sponsor! | • | Eagle Sponsor - $500 and includes a sign on the hole of their choice + 4 free golfers! | | • | Birdie Sponsorships are $350.00 and receive a sign on a hole (but not on the 1st - 10th - or 18th) + 4 free golfers! | | • | Par Sponsors of the tournament receive a sign on the course for $150.00 (No Golfers) |
Contact our Golf Committee headed by John McCall, or Gil Rohan Jr. for questions concerning this year's tournament. They are assisted by a large body of volunteers and do an outstanding job in producing this worthy cause.

CLERGY DAY!
Clergy Day is held each February and this past one was a great success. We look forward each year to honoring our clergy members from the Montgomery Area churches. Find out more by contacting us!
FUND DISTRIBUTION DAY!
The Montgomery Civitan holds its Annual Fund Distribution Day each September and checks are presented to agencies which work with children with special needs. This past year's recipients of over $20,000 raised by our club included:
