PennCity Civitan Bowl-a-Thon A hush falls over the crowd, he steps up to the line, releases the ball. The crowd holds their breath waiting and waiting. Will it be a strike or a gutter ball? CRASH, down go the pins. It’s a strike and the crowd goes wild. For me it really brought home the true meaning of Civitan to see the different clubs working together and having such a great time doing it. Although I do have to wonder how Civitan Linda Keast and Civitan Judy Elliott got to be so good at throwing those balls around. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact they are married and who they are married too. As for Civitan Glenn we will have to work on getting you to stay in your own lane. It has to be said that the Toronto Maple Leafs losing streak is still going strong so if you want to win next year Civitan Courtney LePage I would suggest leaving the hat at home. I am sorry that more Civitan clubs could not participate in such a great fundraiser where there was so much fun and fellowship to be found. PennCity Civitan Club would like to thank the Brockville and the Kingston and District Civitan Clubs for participating in our Bowl-a-Thon this year. I know you don’t want to miss out on all the fun again next year so make sure you watch for the date and come out and join us. Besides we really don’t want Civitan Mark Larabie’s team to win again, do we? |
