If you would like to give back to the community, Civitan is a great opportunity to do just that.
Thomas A. Edison was proud to be a Civitan.
We are a hands-on, working organization that does charitable service for the developmentally challenged, the underprivileged, and the needy. We also make charitable gifts to the needy. To make it possible to provide those charitable gifts and to provide some of the charitable services, we have fundraisers. We also support our research center, which is on the University of Alabama campus at Birmingham (See the many research projects at www.circ.uab.edu/research.htm).
