| Trussville Civitans have fun meetings and serve various community needs through service projects year 'round. We may hold a Bingo/Silent Auction in October and have a canned food drive for the food bank in December. |

| Our Club is open to new ways of serving the community. Your ideas and suggestions are welcome. Some of the projects we currently do include: collecting pop-tops to donate to the Ronald McDonald house. The RM House provides a place for needy families with children undergoing long-term medical treatment. The pop-tops donations from around the metro area generate $15,000 per year. We also help clean the Cahaba River each year (http://www.cahabarivercleanup.org/) and support Special Olympics. We hold parties at the local nursing home several times a year and play bingo with them too! Once a year, we have a big Bingo/Silent Auction fundraiser. We also support our veterans donating to the new Trussville Veteran's Park and helping with the Vets 4 Vets weekend. |

The Trussville Civitan Club also donates toys to Trussville's Kid for Christmas project and, this year, donated 20 beautiful Easter Baskets loaded with goodies to some wonderful children through TEAM, a local food bank. Our members volunteer at TEAM and once a year, we hold a meeting at the Senior Center to mingle with and provide lunch for our local Senior Citizens! We have great speakers at our meetings including over the last year: Weatherman Dennis Washington; Mayor Gene Melton; UAB Chaplin Malcolm Marler; Big Oak Ranch Director Jonathan Smidt and many more. |

Our Club also supports the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC) at UAB. CIRC is a research facility joined with a theraputic clinic serving the needs of those with mental and physical disabilities. The research arm of CIRC is currently concentrating on causes and solutions to Autism. We are very proud to be associated with this world class research facility! |
