West Knox Civitan is the proud sponsor of the National College Campus Civitan Club. This club was chartered on August 5,2005.

The Charter Ceremony and Installation of Officers & Members of the National College Campus Civitan Club was held August 5, 2005 at the Knoxville Campus. The evening began with a word of welcome from Andrew Wills, campus director. Campus Civitans plus 22 distinguished guests from surrounding area Civitan Clubs enjoyed a wonderful catered meal.
Civitan Governor Dillard Edgemon initiated officers and members and presented the Club with their Charter plaque. The club was chartered with 25 members. Gov. Edgemon praised the formation of the new club and noted that our club is the first one formed in the Appalachian District which includes Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Bob Scanlon, president elect of West Knox Civitan, thanked Sammie Hawkins for her enthusiasm and dedication in her efforts to build this new club. Sammie expressed her appreciation to club members who helped plan ths event as well as decorating for the Charter banquet.
