The Winchester Civitan Club was chartered on September 19th of 1966 for the purpose of helping the community of Winchester and Clark County. The Winchester Civitan Club provides a fee free youth sports program twice a year. In the fall we offer football and cheerleading for grades 3 through 6 and in the winter we offer a basketball and cheerleading program for grades 5 & 6. At Easter the Winchester Civitan Club provides a free community Easter egg hunt complete with prizes and Easter bunny. We sponsor and operate an all you can eat Derby Day breakfast the first Saturday morning of May. We contribute funds to Clark County Community Service Center, Clark County Public Library Summer Reading Program, AA Pregnancy Center, Clark County Department of Social Services, Clark County Junior Civitan, Annual donantion and scholarship to Bluegrass Community and Technical College. We donated funds toward bleachers and scoreboard at College Park Gymnasium, we donate funds to the GRC baseball and football boosters, Project Graduation and we work with the Winchester/Clark Co. Tourism commission on the Pioneer Festival and Bluegrass Heritage Festival for parking and concessions. The Winchester Civitan Club is very active in the Clark County community and would like to extend the invitation for anyone interested in attending or participating in any of our events to contact us for information because we would love to have you or give you more information about Civitan International and the Winchester Civitan Club.
